2021 will see an emergence of Brood X, the 17-year cicadas that cover the greatest range and present the largest (and loudest!) concentration of such periodic cicadas in the United States. These amazing bugs, in nymph form, will start emerging from the ground across 15 Eastern and Midwestern states this month (May). The last time we saw and heard these guys was back in 2004, and the next emergence will be in 2038. Will you experience this phenomenon where you live? Have you already seen or heard your first cicada of 2021? Either way, remember to keep calm. Here are some cute designs inspired by the coming "plague of locusts".

At least they only come around every 17 years. Can you imagine if the noise and concentration of insects was an annual event? Every 17 years can be managed as a fun, novel event. So keep calm, we won't see them again for another 17 years after we get through this one.
Yep, they are noisy! This design refers to the song of the cicadas, which is attractive to females of the species but sounds like a high pitched buzz to us. Get this shirt in black as shown, or pick out another dark color garment for the white spoof slogan design.
